Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you call or submit an inquiry through my website we talk breifly about what you're looking for so we can make sure we're a good fit. Once we have an appointment scheduled, I email you a link to complete the paperwork online. Then, we finally meet for our first session. I know it can be difficult to reach out and show up in my office. I do everything I can to make sure you're comfortable through the process. My clients never have to talk about things they don't want to. Additionally, I offer a very non-judgemental stance.

What types of customers have you worked with?
I enjoy working with professionals in high stress occupations, college students and veterans. Typically the individuals coming to see me have anxiety that they've had difficulty getting rid of and I provide a customized approach to free them from anxiety.
I work with individuals who are experiencing grief, adjusting to an illness or loved one's illness. It's difficult to go through the grieving process as it brings up negative emotions. I provide the safest space for individuals to sort through those emotions to work through that period.
I help couples who are experiencing difficulties commincating and handling conflict. I have a unique understanding of how to provide a clear path to help improve the relationship. We will be solving problems vs. just being a sounding board.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
You need a counselor that you're comfortable working with. If you work with a quality professional then you're likely to require fewer sessions. Additionally, by paying for services, you don't require a mental health diagnosis. When you use insurance, we're required to diagnose you with a mental health condition.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be able to communicate what you're looking for to make sure the person you speak with is the best fit for you.
