Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a massage therapist since 2010. I am also a massage therapy instructor and continued education provider for massage therapists.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I am more of a therapeutic massage thereapist. This means I focus more on what your body is needing, not on just making you feel good for the moment. I charge for my time only becuause I use all different types of massage techniques to work on my client's issues.
I charge $125/hr at my office and $150/hr if I travel to you. More pricing can be found on my website www.wow29beauty.com
How did you get started in this business?
I love taking care of people anyway that I can. The human body is amazing and I do my very best to take care of the problems my clients have, not just relax them for the moment. People need to be able to do the daily things and when our bodies are not allowing us to do as such without pain, I want to fix that. Massage Therapy has helped me and my family for so long, that after I graduated high school, I went to massage school. I love what I do and wish to continue for years to come.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of clients. All demographics.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a client who was in PT for 6 months and was still in pain and had limited ROM (range of motion). I worked on her for about 30-40 mins and her ROM increased tremendously!!! She was shocked at the difference between what she had been doing for 6 months in PT and what I could do for her in 30 mins.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for therapist that are more focused on fixing the issues at hand, not just relaxation. Anyone can put you to sleep for the moment. The price you pay should be based on the amount of time you want, not so much for what kind of massage you are looking for. I understand that deep tissue is more work for the therapist, but a therapist that is more focused on your needs instead of what type of massage you are requesting is more focused of your end results, not theire bottom profit. I would never tell someone they should get a different kind of massage only because they didn't have enough to pay me for what they are needing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Where am I hurting?
Why am I hurting there?
Am I hurting all the time there?
What have I done to help my pain?
*** Focus on your body. Get more intouch with your pain and try to figure out where and why your body is telling you that you have issues here. Pain is your body's way of telling you something is wrong. Don't ignore it and don't put all of your trust in a therapist to fix it or get rid of it.
