    Frequently asked questions

Where will my massage take place?
Your session will take place . . . in the Caz Massage Office,

    1. The office has a warm, comfortable quiet treatment room, with dim lighting, soft music to help you relax.
    2. On a specially designed massage table, you get on and cover up with sheets and a blanket.
    3. Room temperature and music volume can be adjusted at any time to enhance your preference.
    4.  I leave the room for you to undress, hang your clothes up and get on the table.

How can I prepare for my massage?
    1. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your appointment on time. To allow you time to get settled, discuss your goals with your therapist.
    2. First-time clients need to fill out a health history form, so bring your reading glasses.
    3. Be well hydrated. Dehydrated muscles may be sensitive to touch and make your massage session less comfortable.

What do I wear during my massage?
    1. Whatever you feel most comfortable with. You may remain fully clothed, wear undergarments, shorts, or be completely disrobed.
    2. Please remove Jewelry, earrings, bracelets, watches.
3.. The Benefit of disrobing is for deep work, it’s always better to work on the muscle area without garments, like glutes, lower back, hips.
    4. You will be draped with a sheet at all times to preserve your privacy. Only a specific limb or body part being worked on, will be exposed, and all else is securely tucked under the sheet.

    Does massage therapy hurt?
    1. Whether your sensitive or not, I will check in with you during your session to make sure you are comfortable and that your pain level is not extreme. Some pain is expected, muscles are tight, sore, but I try to work effectively with your body to release them gently.
    2. Communicate to your therapist while in session. You can can only tell your pain tolerance, and some spots may hurt the first time touched.
    3. Sometimes you don’t know how tight you are until the massage. We can talk as we go and make adjustments on the fly.

    Will lubricant be used?
    1. Most therapists use light oil or lotion unscented, hypoallergenic lubricant to prevent allergic reactions to the skin. You are in control of your session and will be given your choice to experience.
    2. I’ve found that using Coconut oil gives many benefits for the skin. Coconut oil is used in many natural beauty products, and for good reason: It’s naturally antibacterial and antifungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer.
    3. For areas that are tight and sore, I will add Tigers balm, or peppermint oil .

Can or should I talk during my treatment?
    1. Most people prefer to relax in silence with their eyes closed, some prefer a conversation.
    2. Feel free to ask questions or address concerns about your treatment at any time.
    3. Please speak up! I can change the pressure or type of technique anytime. You as a client have just as much control during your session as does your massage therapist, so exercise your right to speak out.
    4. What get said in the treatment room, stays in the treatment room, Just like Vegas!

How will I feel after my massage?
    1. Most people feel very relaxed, and with a cold bottle of water are ready to take on the day. Make sure you hydrate it helps reduce lactic acid.
2 .Some experience rejuvenation from long term aches and pains resulting from tension or repetitive activity.
    3. Many experience increased energy, heightened alertness, and greater range of motion, which can last for days.

How often should I receive a massage?
    1. It depends on your lifestyle, schedule, and wellness goals.
    2. A good rule of thumb is once a month. Even the therapist gets a massage every other week. It’s repetitive stress on the body.
    3. If you are just hurting from overdoing it, may take a couple session within a couple of days, to make you feel better.
    4. If you had chronic pain for a long time, a weekly or biweekly basis might work better for your wellness.
3.Speak with your therapist to help determine what schedule of massage is best for you and your personal goals.
