Sometimes on this strange, challenging, and wonderful journey called life, we find ourselves at a crossroads faced with growth or stagnation, surviving or thriving, succumbing to a painful past or flourishing in spite of it. I strive to create a collaborative and compassionate environment where my clients and I can work together to tap into deep inner wisdom, provide insight, and apply concrete skills to heal and move forward to mindfully achieve the goal of building not only a life worth living, but one you are excited to live! I work primarily from the models of IFS, DBT, and theories that honor the mind-body connection and spirituality.
I've worked in an intensive trauma program treating PTSD, loss, depression, anxiety, impulsive behaviors, self-injury, addiction, suicidality, and dissociative disorders. In private practice, I work with the above issues as well as everyday worries, difficulties with relationships, and the continuation of healing trauma at the outpatient level of care.
Mindfulness is a part of my personal practice, an evidence-based intervention for healing trauma, and increases a sense of well-being. I enjoy bringing this knowledge into sessions to provide a concrete tool to use between meetings. I also integrate an individual's spirituality, when desired. I have a hypoallergenic, furry co-therapist who can join our sessions.
It's really fulfilling! I can honestly say that since I have transitioned to my full-time private practice, work does not really feel like work anymore...it just feels like I am doing what I am meant to do. I am so incredibly blessed to earn a living by developing meaninful relationships with people whose lives transform through our work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new clients contacts me, I always start by inquiring about their goals for therapy. What would you like to see change in your life? What is going on right now that brings you to therapy?
