Barbara is a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated from the New York College of Holistic Education and Research in Syosset, NY. She has been practicing for over 18 years.
Her individualized approach to care is unique for each patient, and always focuses on pain relief and wellness. Barbara specializes in conditions of the back and neck and extremities, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, cervical and lumbar bulging discs and herniations, as well as hip disorders.
Her massage technique is helpful to decrease pain, increase mobility in joints and lengthen tight muscles in the arms and legs. Barbara is also certified in Hot Stone Massage, Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, and Infant Massage.
If you are suffering with chronic neck, back or extremity pain, Barbara will help you find your way to relief and relaxation.
The best thing about my profession is that i get to work with great people and I can help them overcome physicial pain and assist with relaxation. It is my pleasure to do what I do.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I welcome you into a very relaxing environment and ask you to complete a quick form so I can learn more about your health and specific needs. We also have a discussion where I can get a better idea of your goals.
The first treatment is a getting to know you massage where I can assess your bodys condition and do an initial treatment. You are also getting to know how i treat for the first time.
As good as the first massage session may go, I always tell clients that it will get even better now that we both know what to expect for the next massage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed my Degree in Massage Therapy at the New York College for Health Professions in Syosset.
I have completed continuing education in:
Aromatherapy, Pre-Natal Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, and Myofacial Therapy

What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of clients over the years, Many for pain releif or following an automobile accident. Because of that, I have learned how to treat many different neck and back pain, as well as shoulders and hips.
I also have worked with clients for realxation and wellness.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure when you look for massage therapist that they have experience with the condition or the treatment you are looking for. Some may be more comfortable treating chronic conditons that others.
