Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before each session every client is required to fill out the patient information form. After the form is completed, we will discuss everything on your form. The main concern is "what is your goal for this massage therapy session?"
Whether it be for pain management, relaxation, or a bit of both, it is important that you and your therapist have the same goals to achieve a greater sense of healing and well-being during your session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Hello! My name is Sarah Viallarreal and I am proud to be your Little Lotus Massage Therapist. I have been a part of the medical community for a little over 10 years now and I am happy to say that I have had the pleasure to experience and learn so much from an array of the medical field.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant I worked with a range of patients: from newborn to geriatric, emergency services to Intensive care, and from hospice to postmortem care- I did it all! After many years of thinking I wanted to be a Registered Nurse, I began to see healthcare take a turn for profit and hotel hospitality rather than caring for the actual person that lie in front of us and it was, so to speak, too rich for my blood. As a child I was always tending to people who could use a hand from tying shoes to helping Grandma to the store, or caring for family post-op and I was only 11. So I guess you could say I have always cared for others and have always had a little entrepreneural spririt inside of me, so what better field to feed my mind, body, and spirit than Massage Therapy?
After many years of working in hospitals, retirement homes, and rehabilitation centers I have completed my 500 hours of massage therapy courses as well as 50 hours of internship, I have passed the state Massage and Bodywork licensing exam, and I am proud to now offer you my years of experience and accumulated knowledge as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
