Massage therapist since 2011, fitness instructor since 2017. I focus my massage practice around integrating Thai stretching & pressure techniques into sports & therapeutic deep tissue sessions to treat chronic pain & injury. I teach rehab Pilates for individuals, & group ex for general fitness. I primarily work from my spa suite, but I can also travel to your home or business. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take a detailed intake to assess their current state of health and their goals for working with me. After our first session, I will recommend a treatment plan based on what we find
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-500 hour massage therapy license -MT instructor license -120 hours continuing education in neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue, anatomy, prenatal, cupping, stretching, and chair massage through previous job -60 hours continuing education in Thai massage -200 hour comprehensive certification in classical style pilates -500 hour comprehensive certification in contemporary style pilates(in progress)

$75 - 60 minutes
$99 - 90 minutes
$125 - 2 hours
$180 - 3 hours
$50 travel fee and 90 minute minimum for outcall.
How did you get started in this business?
I used to be a hotel banquet chef, but wanted more fulfilling work with a flexible schedule.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Prenatal, runners, crossfitters, geriatric, pediatric, whiplash, migraines/chronic headaches, neck and shoulder issues.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently completed a 30 hour workshop on non-traditional Thai-style mat-based massage. Will be starting a community Thai massage trade-off event soon.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone with continuing education in your problem area or the style of massage you like.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are my goals (For massage-to relax, to heal chronic pain, athletic conditioning, etc. For pilates-to gain flexibility, to rehab an injury, to tone and define muscles, etc) What timeline do I have in mind to reach them, and how often will I need sessions to achieve them?
