The Physiotherapy Institute
About
I'm a self-proclaimed, Urban Wellness Health Education Specialist, who is passionate about improving my personal quality of life and the quality of life of those I serve. I've had the privilege of working as a professional in a city with millions of people and have observed varying degrees and causes of stress-related musculoskeletal dysfunction that occur as a result of living, working, and playing in an urban environment. From that observation, I created the Institute, because I saw a need for people to be more educated about how they moved throughout society.
In my twenty plus years and more than 60,000 hours of hands-on and academic experience, my training has been in pain management, rehabilitation, preventative maintenance, home health care, sports medicine, vocational college, corporate wellness, geriatric care, spas, pediatric special needs, and the private sector. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer, and recipient of a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education, it has become my life’s work to provide a high quality service to those I come in contact with.
