About
Our business stands out because we administer customized massages designed exclusively to suit the needs of each client, we offer exclusive massage sessions which are styled to target specific areas of the body, and we utilize UV technology daily to protect our staff and clients from the coronavirus.
It also stands out because Moon Magik Massage provides a gateway into relaxation by utilizing ancient techniques to assist the brain in achieving the theta state. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within. This allows enhanced rejuvenation, growth, and healing for spirit, mind, and body.
Due to the deep level of relaxation that theta brainwaves facilitate, spirit, mind, and body are easily able to restore themselves during and after illness, as well as after mental burnout and physical exertion. Theta is connected to emotions as is the moon which gave birth to the name moon magik massage.
We utilize a wide variety of modalities ranging from Swedish to deep tissue to reflexology to reiki to lymphatic drainage. The idea of customized massages comes from our desire to achieve the goals our clients. In my 5 years of practice, I've learned that clients fair best with variety.
Along with 5 years of experience, I've had the privilege of learning techniques from a seasoned Master from China. I've also received certification in Swedish massage, shiatsu, and lymphatic drainage.
Please view our website at www.moonmagikmassage.amtamembers.com for more information. Also, we are a proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I really enjoy meeting new people and establishing therapist/client relationships. I also enjoy seeing the excitement on a client's face when they're up for massage, and the therapeutic effects of witnessing clients come into my office tense and uptight, but leave calm, relaxed, and smiling with the "I just woke up" face. It's quite a delight!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I'm fond of was when I had the privilege and challenge of working with a client that didn't like being touched. She had been sexually violated and wanted to heal from the trauma. She started out very skeptical and unsure. I explained to her what would take place from beginning to end, and made sure to not disconnect from her during the massage.
I could feel her getting comfortable with my touch as she begin to relax. She was pleased with the results, and continuously thanked me for the massage. It was a very emotional experience for us both.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give to a customer looking to hire a professional in my area of expertise would be to seek a therapist that has great customer service skills, is qualified, makes you feel comfortable and relaxed prior to physical contact, has a caring and empathetic personality, is comfortable with close contact with ALL people, care about their own health and wellness as they do others, and has the ability to adapt to the needs of the client.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Questions customers should think through before talking to professional massage therapists about their needs are 1) would they prefer a female or male therapist? 2) are their needs short term or long term? 3) are they willing to follow through with the process to achieve a long term goal if necessary? and 4) the financial investment.
