Health And Healing Massage
About
Hi, my name is Francesca Greene. I have been a licensed massage therapist for 13 years now. Recently, I fought stage 2 breast cancer and had to undergo a lot of physical therapy. During that time, I researched other techniques to gain full range of motion, break up scar tissue and lymphatic scar tissue. I discovered that the technique used for these issues is called Dynamic Angular Petrissage which incorporates lymphatic drainage massage, myofascial, cupping and stretching.
Dynamic Angular Pettrissage or scar tissue manipulation is very beneficial after a mastectomy or any type or surgery that includes, muscles, fascia and tissue removal/scarring. In my case, we incorporated these techniques to break up scar tissue on the pec muscle, and to break up lymphatic scar tissue (or webbing/cording). I can tell you from experience, this technique has helped me regain mobility and has reduced the numbing sensation around the scar tissue on my chest. The lymphatic part of the modality, decreased edema or fluid build up due to the removal of the lymph nodes. Deep stretching, after cupping to the area, has allowed me to regain almost full range of motion, which is what I needed to return to body working. Now that I am back to work, Massage Therapy has a whole new meaning. My life experience has equipped be to share the best version of my work. Im privilege to be able to share my story and to change lives through the art of massage.
