About
Want to relax, rejuvenate, or rehabilitate? Regular massage can help you reset and renew. Through a range of massage styles, traditions, and techniques, I will help you find more ease and comfort in your body.
For more than 10 years, I have worked as a licensed massage therapist in private practice and in partnership with studios and chiropractic clinics. Through a range of massage styles, traditions, and techniques, I will help you find more ease and comfort in your body. So, you can live a more aligned life.
What I enjoy most about massage is helping you learn how to treat your body better and live a more aligned life. Modernity often estranges us from our bodies. This is not only the source of many health problems, but also many of our social problems. I believe as we gain consciousness of our bodies, we become free to choose healthier patterns. This transcends our physical bodies into our social interactions, creating strong vibrant communities. As a result, the more comfort and ease we can cultivate within our bodies, the more awe-inspiring magic we will find and create in the world. I’d like to support you on this journey.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical session begins with me checking in with you. This is your time to set the intention of the massage.
Are there issues with your body you wish to address? Do you just want to relax? This is also the time to notify me of any injuries past or present that I need to take into consideration when performing the massage.
If this is someone's first massage I will go over what to expect. This includes how draping works, as well as emphasizing the importance of communication. If something is not working for you for whatever reason it is important to express that so changes can be made. A massage may be intense but should never be painful. If someone is familiar with the massage then this information will be conveyed in a more abridged manner.
From there the massage begins.

I was trained at East West College of the Healing Arts

Over the years, I studied Western-style sports medicine, Anatomy Trains as well Thai Massage modalities, which I learned to adapt to table massage. I also studied trauma-informed massage as well as communications styles that best empower people.
In addition to these more external studies, I learned so much from my movement practice that includes Yoga, Chi Gong, and now Animal Flow.

I began my journey into massage when I became curious about how to stay healthy not just physically but in mind body spirit. I found much lacking in what was considered healthcare and sought to do my part in adding value to the collective health.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When asking any questions a potential Massage Therapist the reasons behind the answers are just as important as the answers themselves. In this field, accepted knowledge changes fast. It's important to be able to decipher useful information from fads. The only way to do this is to understand the reasons behind the ideas. Often there are good reasons why certain actions are encouraged but they get expanded beyond their scope of usefulness. Being able to understand and explain the mechanic of different actions conveys that a practitioner knows which tool they should use given the situation.
Also, language is important. When talking about any issue you may be experiencing it is important to frame it in a way that empowers you either to overcome it or at least mitigate it as much as possible.
