About
Everyone has a story, and it is my privilege to be invited into yours. My unique blend of warmth and tenacity set me apart as a therapist and allow me to work with clients towards meaningful change. I value the relationships I form with clients and my goal is to make everyone I work with feel safe, respected and accepted for who they are. I tailor my approach to the individual needs of each client to help them flourish and achieve their goals. My practice is shaped by a combination of formal education and hands-on experience, including trainings in psychoanalysis, play therapy, couples and family therapy.
I consider it a great honor to be invited into someone’s story, and I love being able to help clients take back control of their narrative. I work with clients on issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, life transitions, eating disorders, sexuality, and many others. Regardless of the presenting issue, I strive to form strong bonds with clients and provide unconditional acceptance. We are not meant to go through this life alone.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was on a bus and heard someone yell out, “MISS KAT!!!” I turned around and saw the late-teens version of a child I had worked with several years ago. She very excitedly introduced me to her friends as “This is the lady who helped me when I was a kid and my family was going through hell.” It was a pretty cool moment.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone you click with. Someone could have every possible degree and be recommended by Freud himself, but if that person doesn’t click for you, it’s never going to help you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What makes you feel safe? What makes you feel heard? What do you want from therapy? How do you envision your therapist helping you?
