About
I am very laid back. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy so I do speak with you during your visit. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy talking with people. Some of my clients have told me that they feel at ease with me very quickly.
Due to the pandemic, I am only doing telehealth. I am not sure when I will reopen my office.
Also, right now I am not accepting insurance. It is too labor intensive working with insurance companies and I am working by myself now. Since I don't accept insurance I have slashed my price to $50.00 an hour. Which is half of what I would normally make.
I enjoy helping people achieve their goals. I love to speak with people and help them reframe issues that are going on in their lives.
I have been working in this field for 12 years. Prior to doing clinical psychology I taught in elementary school. I loved teaching but this is a much closer fit to what I enjoy doing.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Hi, my name is Diane Smith.
Congratulations on reaching out for help. You have made a huge step towards achieving your goals. I have been working with teens, adults, and couples since 2010. I tailor my treatment approach to each client because I believe each one of my clients is an expert on themselves. I help my clients to recognize, discover, and develop their own resources. I use a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities to enable my clients to reach their unique wants and needs. Some of the issues that I provide psychotherapy for are depression, anxiety, panic attacks, O.C.D., trauma, stress reduction, LGBT, family difficulties, couples therapy, grief, and P.T.S.D. I am passionate about helping people and I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
Thank you for your time,
Diane Smith M.S., L.P.C.
