Ed has years of experience doing massages and it shows. He works all areas of your body and really gets the knots out of your body. Continually checks with you about the right amount of pressure he is using. Definitely worth going to and reasonably priced.

He was very thorough and professional. We discussed where I was having pain and he worked hard on those areas. He gave the best massage I have ever had. He always checked to see how I was doing. I strongly recommend him.

Ed is a great therapist with extensive experience in the medical field as a nurse, acupuncturist and teacher. He knows what part of your body needs help and applies just the right amount of pressure. He knows how to treat a 74 aging triathlete. He gets to know you at the initial visit and asks about your health and concerns. He will engage in conversation or be as quiet as a mouse. But he will ask you periodically if the pressure being applied is Okay. I highly recommend Ed.

As an aging athlete, Ive had a lot of massages over the years, but struggled to find a masseur in Philly who is able to effectively address the aches & pains I ask him to work on, while also being good at finding & fixing sore points I didnt realize I had. So Im happy I found Ed.
Ed has great hands -- strong when needed, but also sensitive to the level of pressure needed in each place. He has a solid, consistent flow that allows him to give enough attention to all of my muscles -- something that most Philly masseuses seem to lack. The last visit I came with a pulled hamstring and he quickly got that into working order.
Ive had a massage from Ed both at home and in his studio, and both were very pleasant experiences. I highly recommend.

    Frequently asked questions

I will ask you about the issues you would like addressed. I will want to know the level of pressure you desire and how to best make you feel comfortable during the massage.
I have a Bachelor in Nursing. I have been a nurse for years with experience in Critical Care and Behavioral Health Nursing. I have a Master Degree in Oriental Medicine which included body work. I apprenticed with a massage instructor from Belgium. He was very thorough.
$80/hr, $120/1.5 hrs There is a surcharge for outcalls which is dependent on distance and the need to pay for parking.
Friends and family said for years that I had the hands of a massage therapist and urged me to pursue it.
Children as young as 12. My oldest client is 93. Besides physical issues, I enjoy working with people who feel stuck in life and would like to move forward.

They should ask you about yourself, your issues and your concerns and not just try to sell a service. You should feel comfortable and confident with them by the end of your conversation.

How long have you been in practice?

Have treated people with my particular issues? How sucessful have you been?

What education/training do you have in massage?
