Julie Rossberg, LMT
About
As opposed to a career, I practice massage therapy professionally as a way to increase my understanding of body mechanics. Why does this thing not come with an owner's manual?
Unraveling the mysteries of the body's mechanics and sharing what I learn about the body's systems & complexities with those who wish to better understand is rewarding beyond measure. Find out more about what I have to offer at my website, https://riverviewmassage.blogspot.com/

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the initial appointment, we discuss the intake form information and your goals. At each appointment, we review issues & progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A thirst for knowledge and understanding drives me to continually investigate and apply critical thinking skills to all manner of experiences. Each injury sustained and weaknesses recognized through activities and the act of being alive helps me better empathize with others' challenges.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
$70 for the initial appointment. If you would like to be a regular client, I have price breaks. See the "rates" tab of my website or contact me for details. I also endeavor to take insurance when it is an option!
How did you get started in this business?
The support and encouragement of my husband to do something I love was what renewed my interest in massage - the first career I chose (but was discouraged from pursuing). 20 years later, I'm glad I came back around full circle!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Having provided massage therapy services in a physical therapy clinic for the first five years of being an alternative health care practitioner, most of my experience has been working with individuals recovering from, preparing for, or working to avoid a surgery, and people with activities or jobs which take a toll on their bodies.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This winter my husband and I took a month off for a rock climbing road trip in our 77 VW bus and headed south to Arizona, Nevada and California. Spending a lot of time hiking with a heavy pack at high altitude and challenging our bodies on limestone, granite and sandstone rock cliffs is a meditation in motion. Focus on the body's musculoskeletal mechanics, respiratory fitness, and rehabilitation approaches to balancing joints, avoiding repetitive motion injuries and improving balance is an education and a reward all in one!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Everyone has the same challenges, namely time and money. We all want to find a massage therapist who is close to our regular path of travel, available at a time which works well with our schedule, has reasonable fees, whose personality is amenable, and last but not least -whose massage is *perfect*!!! Is that too much to ask? Keep trying different practitioners until you find one or more!
