Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new massage therapy client, I will begin with a consultation and ask the client about their medical history, any current injuries or conditions they have, and what they hope to achieve through the massage. I will use this to create a personalized treatment plan for the client. I will explain different types of massage and help the client choose the best one for their needs. I use a variety of techniques to manipulate the soft tissues of the body to improve the client's overall health and well-being.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
768 hours of professional massage therapy at the University of Western States and an independent massage therapist for 5 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

60-Minutes: $130
90-Minutes: $170
2-Hours: $210

I can also do events and can do massages for groups (e.g if you would like a massage for you and someone else I could do back-to-back massages or even up to 3 people!) Ask me about this.
I also travel to your location up to 25 miles on a scale depending on the distance from my location in SE Portland. Add anywhere from +$20 to +$50.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking for a massage therapist, there are several key things to consider to ensure that you find a qualified and experienced practitioner who can meet your specific needs. Some important factors to consider include:
-
Education and training: Look for a therapist who has completed a reputable massage therapy program and is licensed or certified by the state in which they practice.
-
Experience: Look for a therapist who has experience working with clients with similar needs or conditions to your own.
-
Professionalism: Look for a therapist who is punctual, professional, and respectful.
-
Communication: Look for a therapist who is willing to listen to your concerns and communicate effectively with you throughout the massage.
-
Comfort level: Look for a therapist who you feel comfortable with and that you trust.
-
Techniques: Look for a therapist who is proficient in the type of massage you are looking for, whether it be Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, etc.
-
Availability: Look for a therapist who has availability that fits your schedule.
-
Cost: Look for a therapist whose prices are in line with your budget
-
Reviews: Look for therapist reviews from previous clients to have a better idea about the quality of service you will receive.
It's important to remember that everyone's needs are different, so it may take some trial and error to find the right therapist for you. But by considering these factors and taking the time to do your research, you can increase your chances of finding a qualified and experienced massage therapist who can help you achieve your goals.
