About

I'm Ashley, the owner and Licensed Massage Therapist behind Beacon Rock Massage. I live near Beacon Rock and love its beauty and all the amazing scenery that surrounds us here in the Columbia River Gorge. I relocated in 2020 to the area after practicing massage for four years in Vail, CO. I have a space in Camas, WA I work out of a couple days a week (Mon/Thurs) and (sometimes) take in home requests for Stevenson, WA and surrounding areas.

I started practicing massage in 2016, and love that there are endless learning opportunities, techniques, and styles of massage. I am always learning and growing to better serve myself and my clients. I have taken several continuing education classes in (John F. Barnes style) myofascial release, thai massage, and lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage), and reiki. I enjoy incorporating traction, stretching, movement, and craniosacral into my massage, as well as using cupping techniques. I like thinking about the body as a whole, trying to help clients bring balance into their bodies and possible their lives as well. In this fast paced society sometimes we need a gentle reminder to slow down.

I don't always think it's about using "deep" pressure or "light" pressure but using the right amount of pressure to engage tissue, encourage releases, and bring the body back into balance. I'm continually fascinated by the healing benefits and positive effects of massage therapy!

Washington State Licensed Massage Therapist (Not Oregon)

I enjoy helping people feel better in their bodies. I love feeling the tissue change throughout a treatment and truly believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy.

    Frequently asked questions

I think the body speaks the loudest. After discussing a clients medical history, places of discomfort etc, it’s also good to learn more about the clients daily habits and hobbies. But, I really think starting a massage and feeling imbalances between the right and left side and tightness in certain areas/muscles really helps me to understand how to alleviate tension and discomfort.

I have been practicing massage since 2016 and have attended several John F Barnes myofascial release trainings as well as Thai Massage, Lomi lomi massage, and reiki. I try to lead an active and healthy lifestyle myself and often recommend stretches or exercises to clients I think might be helpful.

In studio is $150 for 90 minutes and $110 for 60 minutes. .

I went to massage school in Eagle, CO in 2015 and started working in spas as soon as I graduated in 2016. By the end of my four years in Vail, CO, I had worked in about 6 different spas! I worked on lots of different bodies and in several different environments. Since moving to Washington, I have enjoyed the transition into working for myself, developing relationships, and seeing repeat clients.

I worked in luxury spas for several years in Vail, Colorado (Four Seasons, Sonnenalp, Hyatt) and since moving to Washington in 2020 I have enjoyed the transition to owning my own business and developing long term client relationships. Based on my time in Colorado I am used to working with active clientele of all ages but my myofascial release training is also very beneficial for chronic pain.

I am currently receiving bodywork and mentorship in the John F. Barnes style myofascial release and really loving this style of work.

Try different therapists. There are so many techniques, modalities, etc every therapist is different.

The best way to know if you will like a massage therapist is to try them! I genuinely hope each client that gets off my table feels good about the time and money they’ve just spent and the results and experience they receive.
