About
I am a highly trained & skilled licensed Massage Therapist with over 30 years experience. I have literally spent over 10,000 hours at a massage table, which makes me a master or an outlier in my field as a therapist.

I get to help people on an hourly basis. Clients look different when they leave. Sometimes when I have a new client, I hardly recognize the person when they walk out of my massage room because their entire body language and face has changed, they are so relaxed. Or the pain they were experiencing when they arrived has vanished or at least lesssened hugely.
The human body is simply fascinating. And it's a constant field of study, which keeps it interesting. The more you learn the more you realize how much you don't know about the body.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process in working with a new client is to find out what your soft tissue needs are and strive to address them with effective techniques that soothe and relax but get the work done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've trained far and wide with many leaders in the field of bodywork over the last 30 years fulfiling my continuing education requirements for national certification and state licensing.

How did you get started in this business?
I studied theater in college and realized before graduating that I had a real knack for massage and thought it would be a way for me to make a living while trying to break into the stage profession. So, I trained in massage immediately after graduating university.
Had I not gone into theater, I would most likely have studied medicine. Massage therapy was a blend of the two as a healing art. After training, I began practicing and I never looked back, as I found helping people to improve their quality of life through massage so satisfying and rewarding.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My client base has always run the gamut. I mainly see normal working folks, who use massage to keep them in shape both mentally and physically. I am an integral part of their maintenance plan.
I've massaged children and the elderly, lots of pregnant women, weekend athletes, and students. But the majority of my clientele are working professionals...teachers, waiters, military, hair stylists, dentists, lawyers, doctors, nurses, bankers, oilys, accountants, contractors, laborers and office workers.
I feel my love for my work continues to bring clients back again and again. I have many clients I've seen for decades.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My most recent thrill was sitting in the lower orchestra at the Civic Center seeing Hamilton!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
For me the most important quality in seeking a professional is their listening capabilty. It should always be about the client and not the service provider.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Of utmost importance is understanding a professional's scope of practice. As a massage therapist, I cannot diagnose or prescribe. I can only give my most sincere expertise and experience within my training and scope of practice.
