About

At Performance Acupuncture we integrate Western and Eastern medical knowledge and techniques to create a top tier, fully comprehensive level of treatment.

We utilize a Four Pillars approach using acupuncture, physical manipulations, herbs, and exercise to access the body on multiple levels and bring about therapeutic and / or functional change. We view the body as a single, functioning unit. This includes looking at every area of your life if necessary, such as sleep, diet, and habitual movements, to name a few.

At Performance Acupuncture we believe in contributing to a health care system that is convenient, effective, and sustainable. Access to high quality food, effective health care, and fitness culture are the foundation for good health and well being. We promote local food systems that deal in pastured animal and organic plant foods. We also work with other health and fitness professionals in a collaborative effort to give you access to what you need to achieve optimal health.

Being in service and contributing in a positive manner is what I strive to do everyday. I love to see people coming out of a session with greater vibrancy and health. I love to see the long term constructive benefits.

Joe at Performance Acupuncture is beyond talented. Working with him has drastically changed my quality of life. After years of being on over-the-counter allergy medication and taking Aleve for headaches almost daily, my environmental allergies are finally under control. Going to Joe for treatment has become a nonnegotiable part of my week. I highly recommend Performance Acupuncture to anyone who’s looking to live a happier and healthier life.

    If insurance doesn’t cover...

Health investment is according to the time spent with the person. Please reach out for more details. We see all payments as an investment in your health. Treatments are deep and effective with lots of time dedicated to the person getting treated.

I was on my own health journey for many years and, long story short, I felt this was my path. East Asian Medicine resonated with me on a deep level. My first treatment was when I signed up for school. Best decision I ever made in my life.

I treat teenagers up to geriatric. Most people I see are between age 25 and 55.

I work with many teachers and athletes. Yoga practitioners and weight lifters. Other people of course.  My manhasset office is inside of CrossFit Nine7. I treat top performing athletes. My other office, in Huntington, is calm and tranquil. It feels like a living room. Lighting is incandescent and warm.

Let the person know your concerns and expectations. Ask about how they would approach a similar case as yours

What are my concerns, expectations, and needs.

What kind of approach do I like when getting treated. Softer or more intense.
