How did you get started in this business?
I was a Yoga instructor before, and I planned to open a yoga studio. It somehow didn't work out, and wanted to fill the void in my heart and started to take a massage course. As I studied, I found it was so fascinating and became part of my life. Also, my knowledge and experience with yoga practice became a tremendous help to my business. I never imagined that I could find such a rewarding profession after I raised all my four children!
What types of customers have you worked with?
People with injuries, muscular tension, postural issues, and chronic pain.
I treated many clients with neck, shoulder, back issues such as rotator cuff tear and sciatica, and neurological conditions.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a client who recently moved to Florida. She had to come back to NY for her job, and I was able to have a session with her. It is nice to see my clients come back when they come to the town after they moved out.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Competency: Does this therapist had experience dealing with the issue I have? - if you have specific issues, ask the therapist before you hire. Read through their website if they have.
Distance: Make sure it's close enough even if you go regularly.
