    Review from client: Yolanda James
    My experience with reflexology
I believe reflexology has many powerful benefits.
However, not all reflexologists are created equally. Some perform with a light touch that I don’t have confidence or feel I am getting anything more than a relaxing session more less my monies worth. Sometimes you want or need more than that. For example, I have been suffering with back pain starting in 2006 resulting from an incident:
    • I was working as an accountant for a prominent hospital when a new Director of Finance came on board. She demanded that we clear out our storage room completely. Well, accountants do have to file records and other documents, pack them in bank boxes and store those files away. Some are kept on premises while others are sent away to offsite storage facilities. I was the only female on the team of 4 members. The area to clear was more than 15X12 square ft, with boxes stacked to the ceiling. It was such a herculean task that I suffered an injury to my back and had to seek medical and chiropractic relief. The doctor stated that if I was a horse, they would have to put me down. I was diagnosed with subluxation. I was prescribed an intensive regiment, had to visit the chiropractor 5 days a week for several weeks and take medical leave (MFLA). I did receive some good results (spine realign, improved posture). I returned to work, under tremendous stress and a heavy workload (40-60+ hrs. per week). This led to increased suffering, back aches, and indescribable pain on a daily basis. Subsequently, I left my beloved institution under the wretched management.
Note: I’m not one for taking medicine. However, I did take pain killers, ibuprofen, and muscle relaxers for a considerable amount of time. Afterward, I decided just to suffer through the pain rather than have the long-term adverse effects of the medicine. You know medicine may aid relief in one way while causing damage to an array of other areas in the body.
From that day onward, I carried the aches, pains, and discomfort on to my new job:
    • In this position I was the corporate accountant for research grants and clinical trials. I had to drag my files in an accountant rolling briefcase from the corporate office to the research center a few miles away at least three times a week. No one knew of my condition until I used the handicap bathroom. A staff member of HR saw me coming out the stall and attempted to warn or admonish me for using it stating, its purpose was for disabled individuals or nursing mothers. I advised her that not all disabilities were visual or apparent. I stated that I indeed had a disability and did not want it to be publicly acknowledged. Shortly afterward, I left that organization and returned to my former beloved employer (they, hospital finance mgt requested I return).
Note: I discontinued seeing my chiropractor since he moved his practice so far away to a new location and was diagnosed with a potentially fatal illness. He felt it was more important in this time of his life to spend more time with his family. Thus, he eventually sold his practice to a new doctor with which I was not familiar with. That was it for me.
In 2016, I communicated to Ulysses Sims, a master reflexologist that I was experiencing severe pain in my back as it felt that my back was trying to separate from my waist & hip area (coming apart or pulling in opposite directions). One day passing through the DC metro area on his way home from a trip in the south, as he serves clients in various locations, Ulysses heard my cry. He spent time administering his therapeutic type of intensive healing reflexology targeted at my precise dis-ease (not at ease). I could hardly believe the relief I felt afterwards. I had gone over ten years waking up in pain everyday all day and now I was absent of that pain (some would call this a miracle), to being healed. I have never experienced that same type of pain anymore. In 2023, this senior citizen is working full-time again and carrying my accountant laptop and files in a sacral, backpack or bag and now have experienced some back pains. It’s nothing as extreme as before. Nevertheless, I returned to Mr. Sims for reflexology services, and he worked it out once again.
Thank goodness for the kindness, care and expertise demonstrated by my reflexologist, Mr. Ulysses Sims. I highly recommend you consider having Mr. Sims as your reflexologist. Give him a chance to help you tune up your organs, focusing on improved circulation, reduction in pain and overall moving toward a better quality of life.

Ulysses is a kind person with many years of experience. His training is different from my experience with Reflexology, but once I set that aside, I realized he knew where he was going. Ive had 2 treatments with him and the first was surprisingly painful. These were areas that I knew I had health issues in so it made sense. I breathed deeply through these moments and in general I liked the treatment. That night I slept very well. The second treatment didnt feel as painful and this was encouraging. Ive been healing through these health issues and this meant I was making progress. I actually took a short nap during this session and felt very relaxed after the fact. Thanks Ulysses! I will keep you on my wellness team. 😊
