Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process for working with new customers is filling out a short intake form. Then I explain to the client what they will be expecting during the massage based on the intake form. When I am in the session I'm usually very quiet so that I could listen to my hands explain what the person needs. Intuitively and energetically I help people heal or get relief from their ailments, discomfort, and pain.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm trained in Massage via New York Institute of Massage. I also fulfill the continuing education requirements every year necessary to keep me abreast with the latest in my field.
I am also Reiki I certified. I combine this to me massages to provide a unique style of massage that helps clients feel relaxed even if the work is deep. Most clients compliment that they feel the difference with this added energy work. I guess the best way for me to describe it is that I listen with my hands and it intuitively helps me address the issues my guest have without them being able to explain it verbally.

How did you get started in this business?
I was inspired by my massage therapy sessions after a car accident!
It was the only thing that really helped the healing process!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a diverse population of guest! I have worked with Professional Football and Baseball Players. I have worked on doctors, electricians, nurses, teachers, small and large business onwers, police officers, and client's who travel for work.
I have worked with pregnant women, the elderly, and even children with various ailments (with parent consent--who stay in the room the entire session).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My most exciting assignment currently is working with the a local college women's basketball team during their regular season! It has been exciting to work with them for the 3rd year in a row!!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give to my customers looking to hire a massage therapist is to support local, small business owners, who are responsive to your needs. By responsive I mean someone who either answers your call/text within 24 hours.
In addition, the massage should be tailored to your needs. They should be personalized just for you and for the circumstances that you need to address at that particular visit.
Lastly, the energy/vibe should be relaxing and comfortable and just feel right. Try a few different therapist and make a well-informed decision for your long term needs!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A question for customers to consider:
"How dedicated am I to get to my optimal health?"
A customer needs to be honest with themselves in knowing how often they need massages to get to optimal health.
Then consider what the massage therapist recommendation is. A good therapist will be able to get you to that goal, but it may come with some commitment from you to come a little more often in the beginning and ideally (at least in my practice) to move you to once a month or once every 6 weeks.
