About

My job is to serve the needs of the client to achieve their goals. Working as a Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Holistic Health Coach allows me to interact with my clients on multiple levels to tailor the experience to each individual client.

I enjoy helping my clients attain their goals in whichever modality I am working with them. I believe in a partnership between the client and the practitioner working together in the healing process. It is important to always take into consideration all factors that influence health, wellness, and disease, including mind, spirit, and environment, in addition to the body.

Holistic Health Coaching: Initial visit is free

My experience in massage, bodywork, alternative therapies, healthy eating and yoga began at an early age, but it was much later in my life when I took the plunge going from a conventional managerial desk job to diving into building my own lifestyle practice. My journey began with massage school at Universal Therapeutic Massage Institute, where I became licensed to practice massage and bodywork.

To further enhance my bodywork skills I enrolled in a number of continuing education classes, such as Reiki, Thai Massage, Crainiosacral Therapy, StillPoint Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Windows of the Sky (a specialized acupressure modality), and went on to obtained a 100 hour certification in Healing Presence at the Scherer Institute of Healing Arts. I continue taking credentialed classes to keep in line with the New Mexico State Board requirements.

Throughout all this learning, I found that I had developed a strong interest in body movement and the way our energetic system ties into it. In addition to attending a couple of Feldenkrais workshops, I became a certified Qi [Chi] Gong Instructor, and then enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training and obtained my 300-hour Hatha-Raja Yoga Teacher Certification from Sani Yoga in Albuquerque.

Healthy eating and an overall healthy lifestyle became the last piece of tying this all together. The Institute for Integrative Nutrition is the school I chose because of their integrative approach. There I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories; everything from Ayurveda, gluten-free, and Paleo, to raw, vegan, and macrobiotics, and everything in between.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients with varying needs in a Spa, Medical, and Private Practice settings. If you have questions regarding your particular needs, feel free to contact me for more pertinent information.

In regards to massage therapy, I would suggest asking specific questions if you have specific needs. Massage Therapists want to work with you to achieve the optimal results. We would rather you talk with us, ask us questions, and give us input on the treatment we are providing rather than you feel that your needs were not met. We appreciate you input.

I would suggest you consider your ultimate goals for you session and make sure to discuss it with your practitioner. If you do not feel comfortable talking with your practitioner, you should probably find another practitioner you are more comfortable with.
