I work with my clients to create space and flow in the body. I do energetic, intuitive massages that include a myofacial deep tissue base with stretching, joint mobilization, energy work, as needed. Some of my clients call what I do sports massage. I do prenatal massages as well. I have acquired many techniques in my 20 years as a therapist which I utilize as I am guided.
It is my passion. I love feeling the muscles and being able to connect in a way that I am able to relieve tension, stress and pain for my clients so they feel good.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk to them prior to the massage to learn what they are looking for and what their expectations are. Find out what type of pressure they generally like. If they have had injuries, where are they in the healing if recent. If there is anything I need to avoid - anything they are uncomfortable with. I talk to them about my approach, what my plan is,and then get their agreement.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Body Therapy Institute in August 2000. We learned Swedish, Polarity, Myofascial Deep tissue, along with a smidgeon of trigger points and I see medicine.
i have taken many continuing edication classes, including pregnancy massage, Active Isolated Stretching, foot reflexology, Healing Touch, Intro to Barbara Brennan, Reiki I, tot name a few.

How did you get started in this business?
It felt like I was being called to it. Visited the school, took an intro class and I was hooked. I knew that's what I was supposed to be doing.

Every age. People who just want to relax, people with injuries, athletes, pregnant woman in all stages. I like to work with people who are interested in taking care of themselves.
