How did you get started in this business?
Long time resident of the Hickory area where I spent many years in the hospitality and service industry. I was working 70 plus hours a week and suffering from stress along with back and shoulder issues. My biggest pain issue was a shoulder impingement. I received cortisone injection for it and helped for awhile. When pain started to return I received massage and manual therapy and it helped me greatly. I eventually came to a point in my career where I was miserable and starting to have other health issues caused by stress. I needed a change. I wanted to find a career that I could help others who suffered from pain. I was looking for something in a medical related field. Massage therapy appealed to me since I had such good results myself. My passion is helping others by relieving chronic and acute pain. I am believer in the body's natural ability to heal itself. I am constantly studying and learning new techniques to better serve my clients needs. A graduate of Southeastern Institute in August 2009 where I received my certificate in Professional Clinical Massage Therapy. I am a Certified Clinical Massage Therapist after completing my Medical Massage certification in 2014. Medical Massage is used to help with chronic pain issues as well as acute pain issues from car accidents, slips and falls. I am licensed by the state of North Carolina. Let me show you how massage can benefit you.
