Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new client?
All 1st-time clients receive $15 off! Our first session has an initial assessment of medical history as well as learning the body and palpating the overall problem areas to determine your best needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed massage and bodywork therapist with extensive training in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Neuromuscular Therapy. I am also certified in Sports Massage and Thai Yoga Massage as well as education and training in Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have many runners, swimmers, tennis players and desk job professionals who need specific treatment. Pre and Post massage work is beneficial for athletes to keep injury free. I also treat many medical clients and those just wanted to relax and unwind from a long stressful day.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a professional in your area of expertise?
Finding the right Massage and Bodywork Therapist can be difficult. It's like finding the right car mechanic! Almost anyone can give a relaxation massage, but it takes hard work, consistent training, and experience to truly learn the human body inside and out. A standard massage should NEVER be painful and leave you in more discomfort than when you arrived. If it did, the therapist was not practicing correctly. Look for a therapist who has a passion to educate you and help you learn why certain techniques and skills are needed. Someone who takes time to listen to your needs and focus on your areas causing your discomfort.
