Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each client receives a different treatment, depending on what their body needs at the time. I always leave extra time for new clients, because it's of the upmost importance that you feel comfortable before we begin, and that we've gotten to know each other a little bit. The more relaxed you are before we start, the quicker we can get to the root of the issues that the client came in with. I always have snacks and water available, and I like to sit with each customer for a few minutes before the session to hear about what brought you in today, and develop a treatment plan for your specific needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained at Acadia School of Massage in Bar Harbor, Maine — a highly-regarded massage school which is known for graduating LMTs with superior technique and rigorous training in the sciences. Modalities included Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports Massage, Neuro-muscular technique, and hot stone massage.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all kinds of customers – those with physical and intellectual disabilities, Doctors, other Massage Therapists, men, women, and gender non-conforming individuals. Each of us has a body that is unique and perfect for who we are, and it is my honor to be able to work with all different kinds of people.
