Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk with the client about their medical history and determine what their massage needs are for the current session. Sometimes I will ask the client to move their body to see how areas move and if there is pain or discomfort with certain movements.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a 500 hour certificate from a massage school that was through IUPUI at the time. I worked in a physical therapy clinic as an aide for several years prior which lead me to massage therapy school. Subsequently, I have taken classes in myofascial release, craniosacral, and muscle release technique. I’m constantly reading and watching continuing education materials to further my growth in the field. Recently I’ve begun to teach a workout class and increased my own personal fitness to include strength training. I feel better able to relate to how the body should function as a whole unit.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are fixed and very reasonable so that all people can afford a regular massage.
30 minutes is $40
60 minutes is $70
90 minutes in $90
120 minutes is $120
How did you get started in this business?
Long story short, I graduated with a degree in accounting but found the work unfulfilling with in a few short years. I returned to school for prephysical therapy, applied and moved on to massage therapy after several unsuccessful attempts. I’m so happy to have been directed to the field where not just the physical body receives what it needs but also the emotional and mental needs of a client can be deeply affected by massage therapy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with wide range of ages from children to clients in their 90s. My clients have many needs from relaxation to pain relief and increased range of motion.
