Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new client?
When working with a new client they fill out an intake form and based on the intake form we discuss what their visit is pertaining to and then go through a protocol that best suits their needs at the time of service. If the options we discuss are agreed upon we then go through the initial procedure. We use modest draping techniques, and communicate with client before they are on the table.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was working with a client who was about to have a baby. She was under quite a bit of stress. She came in for a pregnancy massage, when I heard from her later she said thank you. She had never had such a great experience that had made her feel so relaxed, calm and at peace. She gave birth a few days later. I was completely humbled by that experice. She had said that her and her husband were so moved by that experice.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a professional in your area of expertise?
Doa your research on therapists that you are looking to hire. Try looking on AMTA's website, and the NCTMB's website.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their needs?
What modality of massage is best for what their body needs (Swedish, deep tissue, Amma ect.)? Does the Therapist communicate clearly what is to be expected? Is the therapist willing to listen to what the client is requesting verbally and written? As the massage therapist if I feel that what the client is needing care that is outside of my scope of practice I will reffer them out.
