LS Bodywork
About
I give a therapeutic massage in a relaxing environment. So whether you need relaxation or pain relief, my massage is designed to put your mind at ease as well as address any physical issues that you may be struggling with.
My passion is to work with women and help them through the process of bringing a child into the world. My specialty is prenatal and postpartum massage, as it is my passion to help women prepare their bodies for childbirth and nurture them afterwards.
As a mother who struggled with pregnancy, I know first hand how important it was for me to create the space to take care of my changing physical and psychological needs during pregnancy. I have since made it my mission to help mother's find their way through the process of bringing a child into the world and through the trying trasitional postpartum period that is known for being difficult for many women.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a new client, you will be required to go through a thorough intake to help me assess your needs so that I can give you the service that you are looking for. Each session after, we will reassess and adjust your massage according to what your body is needing on that particular day. During pregnancy especially, a woman's body and emotions are going through many rapid changes so each session will be tailored to you in that moment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors in science from the University of Central Missouri. Not long after graduating college, I attended the National Massage Therapy Institute in Wilmington, DE to become a licensed massage therapist.
Since becoming an LMT I have chosen to continue my education in modalities like, deep tissue massage, spinal reflex analysis, cranial sacral therapy, acupressure, reflexology and oncology. I am also certified in prenatal and postpartum massage as well as Pilates MAT.

How did you get started in this business?
My grandmother always told me growing up that I had healing hands. I got my first massage in college and it opened my eyes. I thought, "this is it."
