Hi! I’m Safiyah Grace, Licensed Massage Therapist, and founder of Iowa Family Massage Therapy.
My purpose includes helping people who are healing from various forms of trauma or who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD or body image challenges to feel healthy, happy and whole again. I am also passionate about providing support for the journey of Motherhood at any stage by providing both prenatal and postpartum massage!
I’ve been a massage therapist since 2012, and after experiencing a debilitating postpartum depression/anxiety and PTSD, I felt a strong call to use these skills to help myself and others overcome these challenges with more ease and by offering holistic complementary/alternative care.
Since receiving my license, I have helped thousands of people to decrease pain levels and to experience the benefits of massage to uplift and balance mood.
As a specialist in massage therapy for motherhood, sexual trauma recovery, anxiety and PTSD my goal is to support you in feeling confident and happy in your body. I am here to provide a safe space to relax and let go of the tension patterns related to trauma and stress so that you can lead a fulfilling, meaningful and enjoyable life!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually set up an appointment over the phone or online. Then I will e-mail out an online intake form to be filled out prior to our session. During our first session we will talk a little bit about what needs and concerns the client has and talk about the best ways to address them.
