Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With a new client, it is important ensure trust so, I converse with them find out all of their needs and expectations for the massage. I ask for a cleared area that would fit a twin sized bed for my table space. I ask them to allow for a few extra minutes (maybe 10-15mins) since this would be their first massage and in learning their muscles, I like to be thorough. Once I am familiar with their muscles on their next appointment, I can massage for the allotted time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done CE's and classes in Prenatal Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Sacred Lomi Massage, Usui Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, Violet Flame, Silver Violet Flame and Violet Rose Flame Reiki, Seikhm Reiki, Solfeggio, Chakra Release, Çandybil Negativity Removal, and Path Ascension Assistance.

How did you get started in this business?
My sister was attending a Tech College for Medical Assisting and she invited me to a "bring your family and friends" event. As we were sitting with her advisor, she turned to me and said "So Kionna, is there anything you would be interested in going back to school for?"... I looked at her a little surprised and said "Sure! Do you all have art?" she said "Umm, no." "Well do you have culinary?" I said hoping to get a positive response. "No, but we do have a Massage Therapy Course opening in July" she said in a hopeful tone while pulling out a pamphlet. She started to show me all of the classes and I was little intrigued. I took the pamphlet home that day and did some research. I found myself very interested and wanted to know more. I made the call the next week and the rest is history!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked on every kind of client from elders in hospice, to children, to celebrities, to athletes and military and so many more. Being able to be versatile in massage is important and leaves me with a respect for all different body types.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm fond of acting, vegan cooking and baking, arts and crafts, painting, music and spiritual evolution. Not sure if I answered correctly, but there you go. Lol
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions. Make sure that you can trust them. That will be key to a good massage. That, and expressing yourself. If you don't fully trust the servicer and are afraid to express your concerns, you won't relax your muscles and neither of you will enjoy the massage.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are your specific needs? Are your needs relevant to professional massage therapy? What does your end result look and feel like to you? Are you willing to invest in own truth and happiness? Are you willing to invest in your pain free future? Is this professional's mission parallel with your goals?
