What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before your first visit, it is our preference to invite you for a free orientation session, either in our clinic or via phone or Skype. In this way, we can better understand your goals, as well as make some suggestions for how to best proceed. Some insurance does cover acupuncture, so we could verify your benefits at this time, if applicable.
Thereafter, we will reserve an hour for our first visit. This hour consists of both acupuncture therapy along with wellness coaching that is specific to your goals. We will also provide a follow up email containing notes from our session. Additionally, this email can provide you with a convenient platform for sending us any questions or feedback that might arise.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dr. Justin Newman has been a national-board certified doctor of acupuncture and holistic medicine. He completed his premed at University of Miami, and then continued his medical training at the Southeast Institute of Oriental Medicine. Upon graduation in 1999, Dr. Newman entered private practice, with a focus on further developing the niche of Integrative Medicine here in South Florida.
Dr. Newman has multiple certifications in acupuncture, including facial rejuventation, PTSD and addiction recovery and detox, prenatal care, among others. He has additional certifications in hypnosis, hypnoanaesthesia, ho'oponopono, qigong, and aikido, and is a reiki master.
