About
The techniques I can bring to a session are wide ranging. Which I use is dependent upon your needs, which we would discuss at the start of the session. I work successfully with the elderly and youth alike; new and experienced clients with very low pain tolerances; clients with oncology needs, and those who need therapeutic/corrective results: auto or sports injuries, spinal release, pain management and sport performance fascia work. My work combines therapeutic results with satisfying relaxation. You know your body has been worked, but you're not reminded of it 3 days later.
Bowen Work (from Australia) is a holistic treatment unique in our area. It's perfect for anyone with low pain thresh holds and yet it triggers a deep, systemic healing by activating the body's innate healing capabilities. Bowen follows along the lines of chiropractic and acupuncture without spinal manipulation or needles. In addition, it benefits the mental and emotional states that are the subtle underpinning of illnesses. Bowen Work is excellent for everyone's health at all ages, and in particular for immediately addressing the consequences of concussions and soft-tissue sports injuries, and nervous system imbalances through jarring spinal impact (falls), etc. Bowen, with regular application, has been found beneficial for autoimmune disorders triggered by stress (Fibromyalgia, Parkinsons, MS), and is the perfect touch throughout oncology treatment and planned surgeries, before, during and after, for quicker recovery.
Preferred Massage/Bodywork Techniques: Deep Myofascial Release; Bowen Work; Reflexology; Head/Neck & Shoulder Orthopedic Release; Neuromuscular; Pre-natal; Assisted Stretching; Reiki, Meridian Work (sourced from Donna Eden's teachings)
I love working with people to help them live a longer life well, doing more of what they love with more comfort than they can find with standard medical care alone. Massage/Bowen Work/Meridian Work/Essential Oils/Reiki and Proper Nutrition are all accessible and affordable alternative and complimentary therapies to medicinal/surgical solutions, helping the body to heal, and recover quicker and more fully.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Contact and introduce myself. Discuss the client's goal for the session and set expectations. When scheduling, I ask new clients to allow 15-20 minutes of intake conversation at the start, and 10 minutes of session at the conclusion. I try to set the client at ease asking as many questions before table-time starts, and encouraing questions from my clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied massage at the Omega School of Massage (now closed) in Chestnut Hill, PA. My studies focused on Neuromuscular technique and Reflexology. Since then, my continuing education has included Reiki Master training, Orthopedic training, Oncology training and Bowenwork, as well as Shamanic and more intense Energy work to help the body heal itself. I have 200hr Yoga Teacher Training and enjoy introducing clients to the benefits of yoga for self-healing. The more we take care of ourselves, the longer we can live life fully in the only body we'll have. We are living longer. My work is to help each client live those years more fully, with greater health, vitality and fun.
