About
Importantly, I do not travel to other locations to perform my work…
Clients will kindly come to my place, here in Georgetown where I have created a safe and nurturing environment in which you can unravel and relax.
Although I began my massage practice when I was seven years old, I didnt know it. I just knew I loved giving massages and I was good at it; finding the precise discomfiture, addressing it and making it vanish.
It took forty years for the obstructions and denials to clear, from my mind mostly, and consequently, from my life. Hesitantly and timidly, I realized I could probably do massage for a living and as a profession. After all, it was my calling.
When I discovered this truth, the committment was a thrill to make. The studies and the discipline and the joy of it follows every single day and is born out in every single client.
As I see it, body, mind, and spirit are fundamentally entangled and inseparable. If there is misalignment anywhere, it will manifest equally everywhere.
In my quest to assist your healing, I selectively incorporate the wonderful modalities of deep tissue work, and employ such tools as aromatherapy, hot stones, deep tissue stretching, Acupressure, Gua Sha technique and Tuning Forks, into a classic Swedish massage.
I am presently studying and hope to employ NES Bioenergetics in my practice, if my clients are willing. A founder wrote, 'The human body, which produces electromagnetic fields, emits light, produces sound fields, and more ... all of which are part of a unified Human Body-Field (HBF) that controls the body’s biochemistry.' The prime mover is a flowing energy within us and around us, unless and until it is blocked. Energy Blockages create physical pain, emotional distress, mental confusion and spiritual alienation. So, the remedy does not only concern the physical symptoms or outward displays.
Transformation to well-being follows when you recognize the body's language, decipher its' meaning and respectfully obey its command.
I love the dynamic intensity of the connection that forms with my client as they gradually return to health.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a thorough consultation regarding their history, professional work, current daily habits, degree of physicality, to discover where the disfunction originates, we can begin.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from The Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2013. They specialize in Swedish massage and Deep Tissue. Since then I've taken countless courses; Polarity Therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayervedic approaches, Qi Gong, Aromatherapy, Quantum Touch and also workshops; Hydratherapy, Gua Sha, Shiatzu, Cupping, Hot Stones, Lymphatic drainage, Pregnancy massage and others. I have not been certified in any for the reason that I wanted to use them all, and couldnt choose between them in any case. It is only now, that I have chosen and feel ready to commit to a modality, which is Bioenergetics.

What types of customers have you worked with?
So many sorts; students, professors, doctors, nurses, athletes, old people, people of all shapes including highly disabled people, fellow massage therapists.

I was sitting on my front stoop with my little dog, Romeo, and a friend dropped by to check in. I have a broken leg at the moment and long to walk, climb, bike, do yoga. On that occasion, it was simply her visit that mattered.
