I have been practicing massage therapy since 2011. I received my certification in Denver from Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, one of the very best massage schools that have existed.
My goal in this work is to meet clients where they are to facilitate change in the body for the purposes of relaxation, health and healing. I practice therapeutic Integrative Massage techniques which include Swedish, Joint Range of Motion, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reflexotherapy, Energy, Breath Work, Yoga Knowledge and more.
I began a track in massage therapy because I wanted to practice good and fulfilling work that brought together many of my interests and allowed me to help others. I also wanted work centered around service, and that also took care of me. Massage therapy and bodywork do this. I get to incorporate many of my interests which include yoga, music, self-care, compassionate living and my love of learning.
My goal with massage therapy is to hold space and meet clients where they are, facilitating pysiological change, pain releif, relaxation, and creating spaces in which the body can adjust into more relaxed function, giving way for increased energy and mobility.
I believe the process of massage and bodywork is a collaborative one, and works best when clients are taking part in their self-care outside of our treatment room. These are the clients I enjoy working with the most.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a client books, I have them fill out a preliminary intake form. At the beginning of our session, I do a quick check in with the client to see how the client is feeling, and in what ways I can help. We do checkins throughout the session to gauge comfort and whether the work during the sessions need to change to accommodate the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Tameca L Coleman, LMT, RMT works with the mindset of collaboration, facilitating change with clients, easing tension, pain, and offering ways in which clients can actively participate in their own healing. Techniques used can include deep tissue, neuromuscular trigger point massage, acupressure, Swedish Massage, motion palpation, Zoku Shin Do foot massage (reflexotherapy), structural bodywork, myofascial release, energy work and trauma and yoga informed modalities.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients in multiple settings including Swedish Hospital, student massage clinics as a massage therapist and clinic supervisor, in a trauma informed massage space, as a volunteer for events, as a sports massage therapist at sports events, as a chair massage therapist for events, and more.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my favorite events was working as a massage therapist at Girl Trek Stress Protest in 2019. I got to be part of a community that was focused on just about every facet of self-care you could think of, and in community.
