I have 6 years of experience as a Professional Massage Therapist. My office is located in Wheatridge at 38th and Sheridan. I also offer Mobile Massage service where I bring everything needed to set up in your home or your location. My services include deep tissue, myofascial release, Swedish/relaxation, Ashiatsu and Sarga Silk. Please reach out to me to learn more about any of these modalities! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like communicating as much as necessary before a session in order to make sure everything is going to go smoothly! Once we have met, I will set up the space, and then we can have a conversation about your specific needs and preferences! Please be sure to inform me of any injuries/surgeries. I will be sure to ask about the overall intention of the session, depth of pressure, areas of focus, extra add-ons, and music preference :)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
700 hours of formal massage education in Colorado, plus training in their student massage clinic. I typically do an average of 8-15 hours of massage per week and have been since April 2018. I have completed my Reiki Level 1 certification and I can practice channeling that sacred energy during our session if you would like me to! I have completed Ashiatsu Level 1 Training with DeepFeet Colorado in May 2021 and with Center for barefoot massage in Oct 2022. Massage Cupping -Nov 2021. How did you get started in this business?
The interest started in 2016 after a post-college trip to Costa Rica. I had always really been drawn to a holistic lifestyle and I believe this started because of my diagnosis with type one Diabetes. Since the age of 13 I have been hyper-conscious of my diet, how I am feeling in my body, and practicing yoga. This, combined with my passion for connecting with others, traveling, and a healing-conscious mind brought me to attend massage school in 2018!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have many clients who work at desks/offices. I have discovered a specialty in subscap/shoulder release, trapezius, and glutes. I really have worked with clients in professions all over the map. Old and young, first time-ever massages to once a week-ers. I love having a variety of clientele because it pushes me to be creative in my thought process in my role as a Healer. I love seeing immediate results on my table.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they have a legitimate license and insurance. .
Have a clear focus of what kind of modalities you are interested in for your massage. What is your goal?
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Before the session, make sure you have informed the therapist of any old or new injuries. Any medical diagnoses, major medications or medical issues that are relevant. Be sure to communicate the best you can about what you need and your preferences. Ask about payment preferences, and how you as a client can get back in touch with the therapist as easily as possible!
