Nina Spencer Neuromuscular Massage Therapy
About
I have been helping others ad a massage therapist for over 26 years. My career started in Kazakhstan Soviet Union, where I worked at the Institute of Experime Surgery providing massage therapy post-surgery to decrease recovery time. The exceptional results convinced me of the power of this work.
When I emigrated to the United States, I continued my massage career by attending Massage Therapy School in Sarasota Florida. I was fortunate to be trained there in Neuromuscular therapy by Paul St. John. Using this very precise neuromuscular technique? I have been working to rehabilitate people from many different injuries: alleviating pain, restoring physical function, and improving mental abilities.
I am very passionate about my work, as shown in the results that I obtain and in the well-being of my clients. I also have additional certification in Russian (European) Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, and CraniSacral Therapy. I liketo make sure my clients achieve the best of living by focusing on self-care, nutrition, sports, and the outdoors.
I spend my free time hiking in the mountains, doing yoga, reading, listening to classical music, and taking professional seminars to sharpen my massage skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically spend the first half hour getting to know you and your issues. I perform some measurements of your body alignment, to see if you have a tilt and the basis for the tilt. I also investigate areas that have pain. Often these have a trigger point that may or may not be associated with the area you feel pain. I then perform a neuromuscular massage therapy session, typically 75 to 90 minutes. Once done, I will give you instructions on stretching that you will be asked to perform during the period inbetween sessions. Lastly, we will look at scheduling future sessions to continue your improvement. I will followup the next day to see how you are doing and if you would like to change the appointment. This is frequently done in concert with other medical professionals, including chiropractors, orthopedic specialists, podiatrists, and others.
