Dova Center For Health And Healing
About
We are a health group that has several dozen years of experience in acupuncture, herbs, consults, and therapeutic massages. We specialize in women's health: fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, hormone balancing; fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic pain; vision health, pediatrics, cosmetic acupuncture. We offer a beautiful facility that has a relaxation lounge for you to enjoy before and after your sessions. And, also recommend adding a medical foot soak, jade massage infrared table, or infrared sauna before your services.
Traditional Chinese medicine helped me so much that I changed career paths and began studying within months of my first treatment in the mid-90s. I love working with people that have tried so many other treatments and feel at their wit's end, but, I know they haven't tried us yet and that we can help them get back to the life they love. It's important to me that we treat people with optimism and realism when we set health targets and keep them on track so they are successful and feel better as soon as possible.
I love working with people that are trying to be the best they can be so they can do good things in the world. I learn so much from my patients' healing journies and am very grateful every day in my clinic.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule new client/patient consultations and new visits as the first step.
We need your insurance information verified before your first visit and can have that done within 24 hours of receiving your information in most cases.
We review your entire medical history and also review your health goals and set a timeline of healthcare before we get started with treatment. We also need to understand how committed you are to getting better and make suggestions based on that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20+ years experience practicing traditional Chinese medicine. I received my MA, MTCM as well as certifications in yoga (500CYT) and meditation training.
Specifically, I have spent several thousand hours after school studying fibromyalgia, chronic pain; vision health; women's health - fertility, pregnancy, postpartum; pediatrics; cosmetic acupuncture and injections.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on whether our patients have insurance or not. Co-pays vary.
We also offer monthly memberships and start-up packages depending on our patients' needs and the severity of the health condition we are treating.
And, lastly, we do offer a la carte pricing for patients that are using cash or HSA or HRA cards.
How did you get started in this business?
I first practiced in Monterey Bay, California and sold my business after 5 years so I could move to Colorado:)
I have mostly shared offices with MDs and am looking to add an MD to our current health center.
What types of customers have you worked with?

- pediatrics

- cosmetic patients
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My family and I really enjoy camping all over Colorado -- especially at beautiful lakes so we can dip in the freezing water after long hikes:) And, we also enjoy stand up paddle boarding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be sure you are working with a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Some schools are not accredited for acupuncture, or, they are not acupuncturists at all. Also, make sure your LAc has herbal medicine training -- it's an extra 2 years of schooling and is not something that can get picked up in a weekend course.
Try to work with someone who has a lot of experience with your health condition as well as full-time experience for at least a few years.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
- How committed are you to your health?
- What are the outcomes you hope for?
- What is the training of the practitioner?
- lifestyle details: food, exercise, level of stress, pain levels.
- How does your condition affect your life?
- What do you want to do, but, can't because of your health concern?
