I help adults reduce stress and anxiety to acheive greater relaxation and deeper sleep by implementing swedish, deep tissue and some Thai massage techniques to the face, head, neck and shoulders. I recently relocated to Bakersfield from Sacramento area after breaking my ankle in February. I am still recovering but able to provide mobile massage services. I own my own business and was running it inside of a barber shop prior to the relocation.

I enjoy being able to help clients relax and unwind. As well as being able to help with recovery after an injury. I completed the 800 hour core program with National Holistic Institute. Where I was able to build my skills and experience with providing a professional rewarding massage session with every client. I have been building my business since February if 2020 looking forward to another 20 years gaining additional skills and knowledge providing relief for every client that comes through my doors.

Before I begin, I would like everyone to know that Ive had several hundred massages in my lifetime. I suffer from extreme lower back and nerve pain, and developed a rare disease that causes nerves to stick together and make nerve tumors in my spine (adhesive arachnoiditis). I practically have a zero quality of life when I get flares. Currently, Ive been in a flare for several months and depression set in. I had thrown in the towel on massages a while ago after the last one I had. The gal was a hot mess, and she really wasnt good...I was actually in more pain afterwards! So again, out of desperation I thought Id give it another shot. I was shocked when I realized you could find someone that would come to your home, be a miracle worker, not to mention affordable! What a God-send Sarah was!

Sarah arrived looking very professional. The table she brings is super comfortable, and the head rest didnt hurt my face. The sheets were clean and super comfy.

I explained to her my medical issues, coupled with the intense pain I was suffering from. Currently, my flare found a new home in my hip and thigh. Trying to stand longer than 5 minutes was impossible without having to lean on my good leg. Trying to move on the couch or get up with my left leg would actually make me scream in agony. My disease is considered to be the worst pain the human body can have, even above bone cancer.

Before she began, I was asked about the pressure I preferred, and even asked me about my preferences with technique. It was nice to be asked, because many times, I have felt too awkward to speak up and tell them. Id then end up with a horrible massage and would leave in pain.

So, back to Sarah. I booked a 90 minute massage because clearly, Im a hot mess. Holy smokes it went by fast! It was truly one of the best massages Ive ever had! I could tell she felt empathy and really payed attention to my needs. She did some stretching techniques on my legs and neck that Ive never had done before. Sarah was able to locate the reason for the extra pain I felt. My muscles were just in absolute spasm from the intense nerve pain Ive been having. I honestly didnt think Id feel much better after this massage, only because Ive tried this route many times over. However, Im just so desperate for SOME sort of relief I was willing to try again with someone new. Wow! The BEST decision of my life! And I really mean that. Im sure I sound a bit dramatic and cliché, but thats the truth.

Im new to Thervo and felt a little reserved and skeptical about blindly finding someone, as Im sure some of you are. This company doesnt do background checks... they basically release all liability and put it on the client to figure it out. I came across someone very creepy who knew I didnt want a male. He told me he specialized in women and girls! I kept sending him the reply of thank you, Ive found someone else... but, he kept trying, to the point that he offered his services for free! Thats a major red flag! I contacted Thervo to let them know and wanted to be assured of my safety... yeah, they wont do that. So with that said, be very careful! You can imagine my relief when Sarah didnt turn out to be a lunatic or crazy person! Shes very kind and humble... and shes not shady or greedy. Youll probably get a much better quote than many of the going rates.

I wanted to choose someone that had tons of reviews also...I wanted that peace of mind. She didnt have any. My first thought was... oh, she must be horrible. 😅 No, she does most of her work at a shop. She hasnt been on this site very long. Im truly glad I rolled the dice!

Now for my results!! I got off the table and didnt wince in pain. I then walked and felt ZERO pain anywhere in my left leg, thigh and hip! I then was in total disbelief, so I stood on my one bad leg... NOTHING!! ZERO PAIN!!! Haha, Ive been walking around the house since she left because Im just thinking... its got to be coming back, how is this even possible??? You guys, I havent been without this left leg pain since 2014. If you truly want someone who is has empathy, is kind, courteous, professional, has integrity and fair prices, Sarah is your girl!

Taking some time to greet them then ask about their history and what they are looking for from my massage services.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have completed the 800 hour core program at National Holistic Institute to enhance my massage therapy services for every client. I did two externships one at Cryome in Elk Grove the other with Center for Fathers and Families working with Terry Moore at some of his charity events.

Starting 3/1/2024 Prices will be changing. Will post new prices before then. Right now standard Swedish starts at $60 for an hour.

How did you get started in this business?

I was looking for a way to get some stress relief at first but after enrolling in school and doing the work to help others get some relief either after injury or their own stress I loved it. I decided to go into business on my because I thought it would have the most opportunities.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked on a variety of customers including men and women from 18 to over 80. Some have been body builder with dense muscle masses, others were more fragile.
