About
Hi, I am a recent massage therapy graduate. I've learned a number of modalities including; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports and Neuromuscular Therapy. Although I am fairly new to massage therapy, I feel like I have a very good quality of touch and I know it shows within my specialty- which is a relaxing Swedish massage. I am also very good at deep tissue and NMT but feel like clients won't always feel the benefits of it unless there are a number of sessions involved for knots and some trigger points don't just go away in one sitting. :)
I am wanting to be honest, I still feel pretty new at massage therapy and at times feel like I don't know everything about what I can or cannot do in a session as I mostly learned it via zoom as we were not allowed to practice in person in a school setting. But I always ask that my clients give me as much information about what they want, elaborating with specificity if possible, to tell me what their expectations are for the massage and that they share their long term massage needs in order that I do my best to provide the best quality experience for you. So I encourage you to try me and see if I can help meet your requirements regarding your goals for the massage session.
Really I believe my communication is my best asset because I want to know how it is going. A dialog before, during and after the massage is what enhances the experience for me. I like clients that are open minded about the session and are willing to let me know when something doesn't feel right, if it could be improved or when something feels amazing to them. Feedback is absolutely important to me as I am wanting to give the best in each session.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first introduce ourselves- (break the ice :-) do a little bit of a Q&A interaction and talk about expectations which include the type of bodywork; swedish, deep tissue etc. What my set-up will look like. Then I like to talk about the bodywork plan, how I'm going to work, where, and why I'll be working there. I want the client to know and understand why I am working on a specific area of the body. From there, I like to leave it open for my clients to let me know how long they'd like the session for; 60 minutes, 90, 120 minutes and so on. This will also dictate pricing and add ons if any are chosen, followed by my setting up, sanitation practices and the commencement of the massage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a recent graduate (July of 2020) of the core massage therapy training at National Holistic Institute as well as a graduate (March 2021) of the advanced Neuromuscular Therapy program of the same Institute.
How did you get started in this business?
The short version- I didn't use to like massages at all. One day I needed one for lower back pain (I could hardly walk), when the session was over I walked out of there feeling very relieved and lighter in my body. Highly impressed. That opened me up to the desire to do the same for others which led me to becoming a certified massage therapist.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a variety of people and body types. Different ages from; a 17 year old marathon runner to a 68 year old retired military chief. I'm open to all body types, ages and backgrounds.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would absolutely appreciate you putting your trust in my knowledge and experience as a massage therapist.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Anything that may be of concern and that they doubt would be a great start. If there's something you're unsure of please ask me, I will do my best to answer any questions and address any uneasy thoughts and feelings particularly if they are in regards to the bodywork.
