Baby was hired by us to give chair massages to 18 lawyers and staff members at a hotel we were working out of for trial. She arrived hours early to assess the parking area and to get set up. She magically transformed a dull and harshly lit conference room into a wonderful spa like room. The setting was very relaxing with lit candles in a semi dimmed room, aromatics, and soft music... one cannot help but to immediately feel calm upon entering the room. Everyone had a wonderful experience. Baby worked 7 hours straight. I got my chair massage last and was amazed by her professionalism and she didnt seem tired at all. She has a very positive aura. Feedback from everyone were words like fantastic, awesome, wonderful. I did not get any negative feedback from our large group. Will keep her in mind for next time and definitely will refer her to my friends, family and coworkers. Thank you, Baby Lee!

Baby Lee, LMT, was exposed to Eastern philosophy and medicine practice at an early age and integrates its teachings and practice with Western modalities, having received her credential in massage therapy from Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Science in Oakland. This blend of East and West allow her to reach a audience interested in results establishes her as one of a kind in the field of mindfulness massage.

Massage is the space where our innate vibrational needs arrive to heal, restore and transform is revealed. The therapeutic relationship is one of those rare relationships where we can explore where it is we release – our stress, anxiaty and pain – without concern of judgment, shame or guilt. Through massage therapy we can learn to walk towards relief and harmony, one kind touch at a time.

Her approach in therapy is a result one, where all aspects of the individual’s emotional health are equally considered. She works in an open, collaborative and empathic manner. Clients who visit with her are assured the highest care and comfort.

Baby believes that each one of us can benefit from massage therapy with a trusted professional as we all have a need for a kind touch. As such, she works from an extremely humane and respectful place, holding true admiration for those who actually take that step towards wellness.

Baby has a private practice in Alameda, California. Here, she sees children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and puppies.

Today, I am going to share with you a recent event that made me happy. A month ago, my friend shared a book she read that I would be interested in - She was spot on the nose! I then purchased all the authors beautiful publish writings.

    1. Explore wisely

Finding a therapist who works for your needs. You can streamline the process by asking friends and family for referrals.

    2. Look high and low

Get a sense of how they react to your unique situation and how well the two of you gel. Like any relationship, a therapist can look great on paper, but in person, the connection may not be there.

    3. Make sure the price is right

There's no way around it: Therapy can be expensive. Some therapists take insurance, but others are private fee-based only. Some may offer a sliding scale, with fees adjusted based on income on a case-by-case basis. It's important to get this information upfront with every therapist you talk to.

Honesty is very important to getting an effective massage. Many individuals are afraid to communicate with their therapist for fear of being "impolite". However, this should never be a concern. Remember, you are paying for a service. You should be able to get the most effective service for your money. This means that telling your therapists if something doesn’t feel good or telling your therapist that you’d like to focus on a particular area is more than okay.

Also, it is also important to be honest about any potentially dangerous medical conditions that might impact your session. Did you know that massage therapists are bound to the same or similar HIPAA laws as your general practitioner doctor? It’s true! Therapists are bound by law to keep any medical related information private.
