5.0

When I went to school for massage therapy, I found my purpose; to bring quality massage with my own unique style while focusing on results and relaxation for clients. Immediately following my graduation from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy I received four months of private tutoring from, a now retired, massage therapist of 10 years. In the time since, I have maintained a high commitment to my own continuing education in the field. Providing me with an ever expanding range of techniques which I integrate into massages. These different techniques and modalities are combined based on my client’s needs for that particular appointment. CThe goal is to create a highly customized experience for each client, every time they come in.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new client?

I have a medical intake and consent form which needs to be filled out prior to the beginning of a client's first session with me. This gives me a basis for a brief interview regarding the client's goals for that session, any contraindications I need to be aware of and what if any precautions I need to take. I also like to have an idea of my clients typical movements (or lack there of) throughout the day which can effect how they feel. It is also a factor in what muscles are likely to be contributing to soreness, poor range of motion or other issues in other areas of the body. It is especially important to know if a client is coming in for their first massage so that I can give them a breakdown of what to expect and make sure they are comfortable with the work we are about to do.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Graduate of Arizona School of Massage Therapy, Medical Massage Certified, Perinatal Certified, Hot Stone Certified, Training in Advanced Sports Massage, Training in Lymphatic massage,

How did you get started?

When I chose to go to school for massage therapy, I didn’t know that I would find my passion. I had planned on it being a temporary job to get me through the next few years of higher education. However, as I proceeded in my training I realized my purpose. To bring quality massage with my own unique style focusing on both results and relaxation for clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

It's been a fairly wide range. In the past my client mix was probably a 50/50 slit of male and female clients. My private practice however has been predominantly female as there is an esthetician next door to me who I frequently network with. I have worked on minors in the past but the majority of my clients are over 30 going well up to the 80+ range.
