About

Clients often tell me it’s the best massage they’ve ever had — and that comes from a lifetime devoted to this craft. I specialize in deep, effective tissue work that delivers real, lasting relief. My hands are known for being “freakishly strong,” but what clients appreciate just as much is the quality of my touch: controlled, intuitive, and attentive.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic tension, athletic strain, or simply need focused therapeutic work, I know how to work deeply without being reckless. And when a restorative session is what you need, I bring the same level of presence and precision to Swedish and therapeutic massage.

This isn’t just something I do. It’s a profession I’ve devoted myself to — and I take pride in delivering work that truly makes a difference.

I arrive complete with my full-size table, fresh linens, custom-selected essential oils, music and even flameless candles.

Bernadette is a fantastic masseuse. It was our 24th Wedding Anniversary. She came to our home and my wife and I both had a very professional 60 minute massage. Bernadette has a way to find sore mussels you didnt know you had and she gently massages them out. We will be using her again.
    Highly recommended!!

Bernadette’s is an absolutely fantastic massage therapist! She made sure our comfort was always the top of mind, asking if we liked the strength of the massage and just generally checking in. She has just the right amount of talking and quiet time so you can enjoy the heaven that she’s bringing to your body (she really has a gift!) I am so glad I found her. My partner and I will absolutely use her services many more times in the future!

Bernadette is wonderful! We came to Phoenix for a girl’s weekend and I brought her to the house for a day of pampering. The ladies loved her! She responded right away to my request for her mobile massage services and her rates were reasonable. She was very professionals and made the whole experience, from start to finish, so pleasant. She arrived ahead of time, set up promptly and was just a pleasure to work with. She gives a fantastic yet serious- deep tissue massage which two of us received and we talked about how great we felt all day. So if you are looking for an amazing masseuse contact Bernadette.

    Frequently asked questions

My Approach With New Clients When working with a new client, I begin with a brief but focused conversation. I ask about any surgeries, injuries, or medical considerations I should be aware of, as well as any areas of tension or concern that need extra attention. I clearly explain how I work so you know what to expect. I encourage open communication throughout the session — if something feels uncomfortable, let me know. If something feels especially good, tell me that too and I’ll do more of it. At the beginning of deeper work, I may use brief testing pressure to understand how your body responds, but once I find the right level, I work with precision and intention. I use almond butter for glide, so I always check for nut allergies and have alternatives available. I also incorporate custom-selected essential oils to help your nervous system relax and prepare for deeper therapeutic work. My goal is simple: effective, skillful massage delivered in a way that feels safe, clear, and tailored specifically to you.

I studied Massage at Lansing Community College in Lansing, MI, receiving my certificate in 1984.

1984-1986 Studied under Professional Chiropractor Dr. Teri Brown in East Lansing, MI

1990-1998 Studied under Professional Chiropractor Dr. Simon Jones in Scottsdale, AZ

I offer straightforward, transparent pricing for my services: • 60 Minutes – $120 • 90 Minutes – $170 • 120 Minutes – $230 Each session is tailored to your needs and includes customized therapeutic work, deep tissue expertise, and carefully selected essential oils to support relaxation and recovery.
I began my massage business on Valentine’s Day nearly ten years ago. I was already licensed and had previously run my own caregiving business, so working for myself felt natural. I’ve always known I had a gift for this work — even as a teenager, people commented on my strength and intuitive touch. When I decided to launch my mobile massage practice, I ordered business cards and started handing them out before I even owned a table. My first client was the wife of a friend. When I arrived for that very first session, they had a massage table waiting for me — they had purchased it as a way to pay forward the help someone once gave them when starting their own business. That moment meant a great deal to me. I built from there — advertising where I could, taking initiative, and steadily growing through referrals and word of mouth. Nearly a decade later, I continue to take pride in delivering skilled, effective work to every client I serve.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients — from busy professionals and athletes to seniors in their 80s and beyond. Chronic pain management is a particular strength of mine, and many clients seek me out for focused, effective relief from long-standing tension and injury patterns. I’ve also worked with individuals who require more specialized care, including clients with mobility limitations and quadriplegia. I approach every body with respect, adaptability, and a clear understanding that no two people — or pain patterns — are the same. Whether you’re managing chronic discomfort, recovering from strain, or simply maintaining your body, I tailor each session to meet you where you are.
Recently, I reconnected with a long-time client I hadn’t seen in over a year due to changing circumstances. When we finally scheduled again, there was genuine excitement on both sides. Before and after the session, we spent time catching up — a reminder that this work isn’t just physical, it’s relational. The massage itself was deeply focused and productive, and afterward we sat and shared cheesecake he had brought to celebrate reconnecting. It was a simple moment, but it reminded me why I love what I do. Over time, clients become more than appointments on a calendar — they become people whose progress, relief, and well-being truly matter to me. Moments like that reaffirm that this profession is about trust, consistency, and meaningful care.
One piece of advice I often share: don’t hire a massage therapist who doesn’t receive massage themselves. Staying connected to the experience from the client’s perspective keeps a therapist sharp, empathetic, and continuously improving. When a practitioner understands what it feels like to be on the table, they’re far more attuned to pressure, pacing, and overall comfort. Beyond that, look for someone who asks thoughtful questions and listens carefully. A skilled therapist should feel confident adjusting pressure, technique, and focus areas based on your feedback. Deep tissue should be effective without being reckless. Relaxation work should feel intentional, not routine. Ultimately, choose someone who makes you feel both safe and heard. Technical skill matters — but presence and awareness make the difference between a decent massage and an exceptional one.
Think about what kind of result you’re looking for. Are you managing chronic pain that needs focused deep tissue work? Are you recovering from strain or injury? Or are you simply ready to relax and reset? Consider how you typically respond to pressure. Do you prefer strong, targeted work, or something lighter and restorative? And if you have any injuries, surgeries, or sensitivities, be prepared to share those details. Massage works best when it’s tailored. The clearer you are about your needs, the more effective your session will be.
