I have been doing massage for over 10 years and still love it do this day. I have worked in spas, for doctors and rehabilitation facilities. I have experience with injuries, clients just wanting to relax, cancer patients, adhesions and scar tissue release, prenatal massage, etc. I have learned what works and what doesn’t. I have the skills to access and implement the best therapy for the particular issue going on. If there are no particular problems and someone wants to just relax, well I can do that as well.
I really enjoy the instant results clients get from massage. I find that most people feel back to normal with just 1 massage. Sometimes when there are more issues going on, it takes a few sessions to really loosen the tissue up. I look forward to meeting those clients and really being able to assist in their healing. I always feel better knowing my clients feel better. That is why I have been a massage therapist for over a decade now.
Brandie was great. She really listened and catered the massage to what I needed. She is really knowledgeable and gave me advice on how to improve my range of motion. I like getting massage in my home as well, so I'm happy she does that. I will be hiring her again very soon.
My process is really simple. I ask what is going on, what are the goals for the session and what kind of modalities do they prefer. Some people really like deep pressure whereas someone else may have knots and tension but cannot handle pressure. I make sure that the client is comfortable, that all questions have been answered and any concerns have been addressed.
I trained at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. I am licensed and insured in the state of Arizona. Every two years I continue my education by taking at least 24 hours of classes.
I do have a standard pricing system. With my experience, knoweledge and expertise I have an hourly rate of $80. I am not a newby and I know my skill set.
I was interested in the business after I watched a family member of mine heal from a horrific car accident. They received massage therapy on a weekly basis. I was amazed with it and right when I was out of high school, I went to massage therapy school. I enjoy it even more now that I am on the giving end.
I have worked with all types of customers. I have worked with athletes, post car accident patients, stay at home mom's, the 9-5'ers, I have worked events and bridal showers, CEO's of companies, landscapers, college athletes, the elderly, post-surgery patients.
I would say, ask questions and get to know the therapist before you hire them. Make sure it is a good fit.
Be precise about what it is and explain it to the pro. Make sure it is something they have worked with before and have experience in.
