About
In Jan 2000, I experienced the darkest night of my soul. This lead to a suicide attempt and a comatose state in an ICU for 3 days. In my recovery, I learned I was living as a codependent, loving others before loving myself. I started attending 12 step meetings and found my way to an MA degree in Spiritual Psychology. A few years later, I received my second Master's degree in Social Work (I am licensed, but work under my pastoral license, currently). I am also an ordained minister. My ministry consists of helping individuals, couples and families learn better ways of loving and living. I also have 10 years experience teaching positive parenting and anger management. Thank you for the opportunity of allowing me to help you transform your life. I am fluent in English & Spanish, and LGBTQ2IA+ friendly. I love that I am living my life's purpose, helping people help themselves in becoming their best self.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Building good rapport is essential to my practice. I want my clients to feel as comfortable as they can, so that we can start working right away. I don't want to waste valuable time. Life is too short! You'll get some tools to start your transformation in our first session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained minister with an MA in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica, and a licensed social worker with an MSW degree from the University of Alabama. I have been teaching positive parenting and anger management skills for over 10 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do private pay only. I don't take insurance; however, I do offer a sliding scale fee, starting at $1.20/minute with a 50 minute minimum, capping at $2.50/minute. I also offer pro bono sessions, on a limited basis, for those who are experiencing financial insecurities at this time.
How did you get started in this business?
Helping others has been my natural tendency ever since I can remember. Everything I've experienced, especially the hardships I have overcome, have brought me to a place of wanting to help people on a professional level.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked and continue working with children ages 10 and older, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients dealing with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression and issues resulting from being LGBTQ2I+. I work with both hetero and LGBTQI+ couples for couple's coubseling. I am working with trans individuals who are married and transitioning, either individually or in a couple setting, as well as with parents of LGBTQ2I+ clients. I also work with clients working through grief and loss. Additionally, I am EMDR trained, and have been working with individuals experiencing trauma, helping them alleviate their symptoms. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, I also work with Hispanic clients both individually and in a family setting.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
EMDR is a very powerful modality, and I have seen clients have shits in perception even in one session. I recently helped a client who has been dealing with the aftereffects of being sexually molested as a child achieve a level of awareness where the event no longer debilitates her. She is now able to work on her current issues of depression and social anxiety.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would encourage a cutomer looking to hire a pro in my areas of expertise to talk with different therapists and get a feel for how comfortable they feel talking with them about their particular concerns.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Before talking to pros about their needs, customers should think through the following questions: What are my mental health needs and is this person qualified to meet them? How long has this person been a professional counselor/therapist? What kind of training do they have? Are there any testimonials from previous clients? Can I afford their services?
