My name is Cory Sowell. I graduated from Madison School of Massage Therapy in 2018. I’ve worked as an LMT in the Hunstville/Madison area since 2021. I started my career at one of Huntsville’s top salons/spas, Salon 921. After 2 years, I moved exclusively to Healing Haven in Madison. I specialize in Deep Tissue modalities, and sports massage, but am proficient in Swedish relaxation massage.

I became an LMT after a back injury that really affected my body. I saw doctors. I had X-rays done and got and MRI. The doctors really didn’t know what to think. Diagnosed with bulging vertebrae L-4 & L-5, ….but this was wrong.

The tissues around the vertebrae were the problem. We don’t realize, but our muscles are knotted up all over the body, wherever we use them. These tissues are in every tendon and ligament surrounding every bone in the body. When we’re stressed or overuse our muscles fluids build up in the muscles and can remain there causing serious pain. The solution is massage.

My goal is to provide top tier service at affordable prices. Massage does not have to be “foo foo” as I like to say. It’s a therapeutic experience. Sometimes it can lean towards painful. This is why communication between the client and therapist is so crucial for the success of the session.
