About
You’re ready for a relationship makeover...Let's Start Pursuing that!
You're longing for trust, security, and connection with your partner. You've tried seeking advice from friends & family, reading magazine articles on relationships, desperately searching the internet for answers, begging your partner to change, and numbing your pain in unhealthy and hurtful ways.
But all those things haven't worked.
And so now you are feeling lonely, ashamed, rejected, frustrated, and disconnected. But what if you could finally obtain the healthy, loving relationship you've always wanted?
And as a result, you had more trust, security, self-esteem, and loving connections with your partner than you've ever imagined possible. Which means that you could finally get rid of that shame and feel loved, respected, and secure in your partner's love each and every day.
Hey There! I'm Rhonda Marie Stalb, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Relationship Strategist. I help motivated married women heal from abusive and dysfunctional relationships so they can finally obtain healthy, loving relationships. I combine 10 years as a successful family therapist with life experience, valuable educational experiences, research, and obsessing about how to help women thrive in their love relationships.
I LOVE helping women overcome painful circumstances. For some, counseling and coaching doesn't seem very interesting. For me, a career in counseling and coaching is a passion I've been chasing for over 10 years. Most recently, my work led me to open my private practice, where I'm focused on helping and assisting women reclaim their power after surviving abuse. You could say I'm living the dream!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After they call me I send them an email so they can access their client portal account to read and sign the practice policy documents and then we set up their first appointment. At their first session we discuss insurance and co-pays. I also provide homework so they can make progress outside of therapy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am licensed in the state of Alabama. I'm also ceritified to do telehealth therapy. Currently, I'm in my doctorate program at Northcentral University pursuing a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on couples and relationships.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My standard fee is $150-$200 per session. I also take Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, Humana, Tricare East, New Directions Behavioral Health. I also offer Employee Assistance Program services.
How did you get started in this business?
I started my Master of Arts program in 2008 and I've helping families with their relational issues since then. I've worked in 3 private practices and 3 agencies during my interships and prelicensing work. Now I own a private practice and I love every minute of it!
What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients are motivated and ready to take action to make changes in their lives and relationships. It energizes and excites me when my clients are proactive and they take recommendations home and truly work on themselves. I don't take clients who are just counselor shopping. My clients are serious about making the necessary changes they need to thrive in their relationships and everyday lives.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I went on a prayer retreat to reconnect with God and felt rejuvenated and full.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Therapy has risks and benefits and it is a commitment of time and money to see the results that you want.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I’ve never talked to anyone. I’m used to handling things on my own. Aren’t people who go to therapy weak?
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the ability to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. You already have some strengths that you’ve used before, that for whatever reason isn’t working right now. Perhaps this problem feels overwhelming and is making it difficult to access your past strengths. In our work together, I’ll help you identify what those strengths are and how to implement them again in what is happening now.
What’s the difference between talking to you or my best friend or family?
The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way– teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, therapy is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others “knowing my business.” Lastly, if your situation provokes a great deal of negative emotion, if you’ve been confiding in a friend or family member, there is the risk that once you are feeling better you could start avoiding that person so you aren’t reminded of this difficult time in your life.
Why shouldn’t I just take medication?
Medication alone cannot solve all issues. What medication does is treat the symptoms. Our work together is designed to explore the root of the issue, dig deep into your behavior and teach strategies that can help you accomplish your personal and/or relational goals.
Medication can be effective and is sometimes needed in conjunction with therapy.
How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions?
Because each person has different issues and goals for therapy, therapy will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs
How long will it take?
Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time therapy can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek therapy in the first place.
I want to get the most out of therapy. What can I do to help?
I am so glad you are dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions. Your active participation and dedication is crucial to your success. After all, we only see each other for a session a week. It’s the work you do outside of our sessions that will really help you see your personal growth and development.
My partner and I are having problems. Should we be in individual counseling or come together?
If you are concerned about your relationship, and you would both like to work with me, I would initially work with both of you together. After this work, if one of you would like to continue in individual sessions, I could work with only one of you. It is not helpful to move from individual into couple’s work with the same therapist because of potential trust issues.
