How did you get started in this business?
When I was child I was always the person who like to pamper always the person who had their hands on you to comfort you. I was always told that I had a great touch and that I should become a massage therapist. However my father would not allow me attend massage school. Later my father got really ill with renal failure, heart attack and stroke. He later died and Cause of death was poor blood circulation they had given him a dialysis treatment and his blood went into the machine like a gel type substance. I was devastated because we all know the number one benefit of massage is increased blood flow and I felt that if I had known then what I know now I could have saved his life And I decided that even though my father would not allow me to go to massage therapy school that it was my calling and I had to follow it and it was the right choice.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I tell my students all the time that there is no such thing as A good or bad massage that everyone has his or her place in massage. You just have to get out there and touch as many bodies as you can to find your market of client because not everyone enjoys the same touch. The same goes for the recipient in order to find the right massage therapist you have to keep getting lots of massage until you find that one Touch that fits your needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
These are strictly professional non sexual treatment. Only serious inquires.
