Sama Spa was born from the belief that the ideal location of a relaxing massage is in the warmth, safety and comfort of home. We have eliminated the need to plan travel arrangements, dress up for the occasion or worry about meeting an appointment time. What we bring to you is a full spa service designed to give you all the luxurious sensations of a complete pampering session, minus the hassle.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When booking a Sama massage, you choose the massage type, time, and location. Andree Akers LMT will arrive with massage table in-hand - all you need to do is relax and enjoy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Andree Akers is a licensed massage therapist with the State of Alaska. A proud member of, and insured by ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professional). Passionate about helping her clients over the past 4 years. Andree prioritizes safety, transparency, and trust to build the foundation for a wellness regiman leading to long-term results.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Tips are not accepted by Andree Akers. You've never been expected to tip your physical therapist or chiropractor. Though the modalities are different, the intention is much the same when you seeking healing through Sama MM.
How did you get started in this business?
Andree attended that amazing Aspen Massage Institute located in Aspen, CO.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Andree likes to say there's a massage for "everybody & every body". Each massage session combines a variety of techniques and modalities to deliver a tailored massage experience based on your desired outcome expressed during the consulation portion of your session.
Styles/Techniques: Swedish, Prenatal, Shiatsu. Refelxology, Sports, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, & Cupping

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Sama Mobile Massage is listed as "medical massage", which gives you the option of paying for your appointments using your HSA card or Flex account. Sama MM can provide any documentation you might need to seek reimbursement: invoices, letterhead, and/or charts. Records are kept for every single appointment and copies can be provided as needed. However, Sama is not affiliated with any insurance provider and does not do any medical coding or billing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Never experienced an in-home massage before? It's pure bliss. Your home is the safest and most convinent place for a therapuetic massage! Let-it-all-go! Andree Akers has a no judgement policy, recognizing, we are all human with very busy lives. Homes are not expected to be tidy, pets are loved & adored, and with children to care it can be harder to get out for a massage. We will embrace your space! It's the easiest place for you to get massage. Ease, that's the added luxury of an in-home massage.
